F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE – Colonel Carolyn Ammons assumed command of the 90th Mission Support Group during an assumption-of-command ceremony, June 21 on F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

Colonel Peter Bonetti, 90th Missile Wing commander, served as the presiding officer, welcoming Ammons and her family to the Mighty Ninety.

“I know that you are ready and you are the right leader to guide us,” said Bonetti. “She is absolutely going to crush this. When she is described by her superiors it is common for them to use words like exceptional, visionary and brilliant.”

Ammons previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Manpower and Personnel, Pentagon, Va.

She noted that she is excited to be here with her family, and ready to take command of the 90th MSG.

“To the men and women of the Mission Support Group, thank you for serving and thank you for being a part of our nations critical mission,” said Ammons. “What I want to ask of you is what I as of myself each day. That you seek to be the best. That you serve at the highest levels of character, courage and commitment.”
