This annual tradition kicks off promptly at 5:30 PM on Saturday, November 24th at 17th Street and Carey Avenue and takes place the Saturday following Thankgiving. It marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue. From Capitol Avenue, the parade continues down to 16th street and concludes on Pioneer Avenue with Santa continuing on to the Depot Plaza for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Remember: The first float of the Christmas Parade is Toys for Tots. Please bring unwrapped toys to the parade and let's see how many toys the people of Cheyenne can collect this year!
Last year, the parade featured 130 brightly illuminated floats, horse drawn wagons, bands, clowns, antique autos, dancers, performers and colorful marching groups. The parade lasts about an hour and 15 minutes, and is considered one of the finest Christmas Parades in the Rocky Mountain area.
The Cheyenne Christmas Parade is funded solely by donations! A special thank you to Jesse Clements from Audiomatrix, Inc. for keeping the Christmas Parade Tradition alive and to the Cheyenne Christmas Parade Committee. We are a 501-C3 non-profit organization. Thank you Sponsors!
