Walmart store #1315 on Dell Range Blvd. in Cheyenne presents a $1,000 grant to the Wyoming Adopt an Airman program.  The adopt an Airman program matches first term airmen at Warren Air Force Base with volunteer hosts and host families with similar interests in the Cheyenne Community. In 2019, the Military Affairs Committee of the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce established the Adopt-an-Airman Program with the purpose of strengthening airmen resiliency through community relationships. The program fosters a “home-away-from-home” social atmosphere to build relationships supporting airmen beyond their military working environment. This generous donation from Walmart will allow the Adopt an Airman program to continue building ties between the community and the local military.
