CHEYENNE – The 14th Annual Wyoming National Guard Retiree and Surviving Spouses Conference gets underway Sept. 7 at the Air National Guard dining facility, in Cheyenne.
The event kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with registration, snacks and presentations by retirement service and benefits providers.
Welcoming remarks will be featured during a light supper at 5:30 p.m.
Maj. Gen. Luke Reiner, the adjutant general, along with his senior staff are set to address attendees and answer any questions from 6 – 7 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Joint Forces Readiness Center Auditorium with a continental breakfast. Following an introduction of Wyoming National Guard Retiree Council members at 8 a.m., AARP’s Sam Shumway is scheduled to offer a “Work and Save” program.
Leading up to lunch at noon will be “Estate Planning” presented by Craig Cook and Jeff Dietzel; the Wyoming Veterans Commission will discuss the new Fallen Comrades memorial and progress on a skilled nursing facility, and Ken Williams will provide a United HealthCare presentation.
